At IBM, Workers 'Expire' Early ("Next Step" is 'Voluntary' Layoffs Decades Before Retirement Age)

Many people had their "last day" at IBM yesterday. They don't explain why (maybe the NDAs prevent them for being honest above it) and what stands out above is the claim of retirement to "spend time with the family" (sounds like a template) at the same time IBM had mass layoffs.
IBM is, according to IBM insiders, doing what Microsoft does this month and especially next week. It puts pressure on older workers to leave (to lessen the layoffs tally).
It seems like the "new normal" is layoffs not existing or barely existing because companies hide them like they hide trillions of dollars in debt. █
