Microsoft layoffs are difficult to hide this month, but there's a lot more going on that is covert and never mentioned in the media. No WARN notices.
"That’s GVSA [1, 2] and PIP next week," said someone yesterday. That someone is from Microsoft. A colleague from Microsoft then said:
Already started. Big move is coming Monday onwards.They put 25-30% people in lower bucket. Changed the review model couple of months ago and reduced budget. To keep top performers they need to give same money to them as last year and anyone getting lower reward due to this is PIP candidate according to HR.
It’s a bit messed up right now.
"And terminate for 0 rewards," a colleague from Microsoft said.
They know it's happening because they see it and fellow workers talk about it, even if the media keeps mum except when whole units shut down. █
