1-1 Meetings at IBM This Week, PIPs Expected, Maybe RAs Too
Published yesterday: IBM Allegedly Stopped Hiring (This Tends to Coincide With Mass Layoffs)
Today:

RAs are not expected this coming Thursday/Friday despite a big meeting scheduled for tomorrow, but many people are talking about RAs (layoffs) this month. We documented only a few examples. "I received an unexpected 1-1 with the manager for tomorrow. It might be it," someone wrote some hours ago. Some discuss the criteria for expulsion (it's about cost):

There is similar tone in the Reddit section not censored by IBM's operatives. Yesterday someone spoke of the IBM experience:
Is it me or everyone working in IBM feels the same?
I have been working in several projects throughout my career of 8+ yrs but haven't come across such organisations unbothered behaviour.Recently I was working on a Banking project from Pune and most of the client's side team was working from the UK Glasgow and counterpart in Pune itself.
I am a Sr. Product Designer and 90% of my role in my previous organisation was to lead the end to end project starting from UX Research to End Delivery.
But after joining IBM due to my company getting acquired by IBM all the employees were treated like literal sense low labour who can fit into offshore projects and do junior level work.
It's not something I am ashamed of or don't like doing the junior level work but when you interview a resource for a top position who handles leadership responsibilities and yet in the project has an actual work of a fresher or junior level work. I mean this was not just the case with me I had a discussion with my colleague from the same previous organisation and they all have similar experiences.
So,the question is whether these clients are doing this malpractice of making sound the interview and role difficult although the work is literally of a fresher and just because you have your account with big MNCs you end up doing the repetitive tasks form Indians and let the employees form UK/ US lead the projects or this is the practice followed in IBM itself.
Not sure what to make out of this!!?
Let me know if you guys have been facing this situation earlier??
On the general sentiment in various BUs (business units) at IBM:
Any BUs that aren’t “fearful” right now?
Little background- I’m an FLM in global sales. For the past few years there’s been the normal pressure to hit quota, be a top performer, etc. Myself and my team have been successful and even this year are looking to hit over 100% achievement. However the pressure and uncertainty that is all around is deafening and it’s starting to get that point where I’m deciding whether I need to move to another business unit or a completely other company.
I know the history with IBM and I know that there’s been good and bad. So far, my experience has been good until recently where it just seems uncertain of what is going to happen.
So just curious, are there any business units, teams, products that aren’t necessarily feeling the heat as much right now? Or are we all in the same boat?
As usual, we invite whistleblowers to tell us what's going on. Everyone knows there's chaos at IBM right now, but IBM hides what's happening. █
