IBM Eliminating Over 20,000 IBM Workers by Year's End, Insiders Claim
Today, as usual, we see many people announcing their last day at IBM (many left on Monday and Tuesday as their last day) and it sounds like they involuntarily leave, as IBM is "taking the PIP" on them. Earlier on the CFO of IBM sort of admitted this would happen, so why no announcement yet? Because the layoffs are silent, and they're advertised as "next step" and other such euphemisms. Here are some gems from the past day:

The possibly next (or last) CEO of IBM "Rob Thomas sold ~1/3rd of his shares a few days ago," someone has pointed out. "What does he know?" More comments included how much money he bags while IBM lays of many thousands of people all the time while trying to skirt severance obligations:

Hundreds of millions in shares. What does a man his age plan to do with it?
This is the younger one, Thomas, "cashing out":

Suppose the "assets" of the CEO exceed a billion dollars. That an pay the salaries of about 10,000 technical workers for a year.
Instead IBM lays off 10,000+ people (in a year) and even pushes out critical Red Hat staff. █
