You Can Run GNU/Linux on a Desktop/Laptop for 1,000+ Days Nonstop

I'm now just 4 days away from uptime of 1,000 days on this laptop.
roy@bubi:~$ uptime 08:37:55 up 995 days, 23:49, 3 users, load average: 7.17, 7.35, 7.25
It's a lot longer than my previous record. I used to show uptime in my signature in USENET two decades ago (it would run commands to make the signature, e.g. pick a quote at random).
This laptop runs KDE Plasma and services an IRC client (which I've just restarted). It is never used for Web browsing (only Geminispace) and it's not accessible to the outside world.
To me, the long uptime is a way of "marketing" GNU/Linux as robust and stable. █
