Asking when or how many Microsoft will lay off is like asking the same about IBM.
They've simply utilised methods to cheat investors and skirt the WARN Act. They also subvert laws or legal obligations pertaining to severance.
"Already got pip'ed which is s form of layoff," someone wrote. We said the same yesterday and earlier today. They find tricks around the law, same with Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) in the EU.
"Heard most orgs are firing people instead." So said another comment. From what we've heard, there are tons of Microsoft layoffs and even shutdowns this year. The media barely reports on any of these.
The issue here is also the media. It's complicit. █
