Oracle, Like Microsoft, Drowns in Debt and Discards Tens of Thousands of Staff (Microsoft Does the Same More Discreetly)

When companies are hundreds of billions of dollars in debt they must significantly reduce size to cut costs. It's not a question of if but how and when and how many.
At Oracle, the avalanche is very visible again (IBM and Microsoft cheat the system to hide terminations). Unlike IBM and Microsoft, they offer money on the way out and the 6AM E-mail leaked out. It says: "After careful consideration of Oracle's current business needs, we have made the decision to eliminate your role as part of a broader organizational change. As a result, today is your last working day."
The main difference between Microsoft and Oracle is that the latter is honest about what's going on. Microsoft keeps lying and the chief liar has just left or got the boot. █
