Software Freedom Day 2026 is almost upon us and, just in time, we have this reminder that Zoom (proprietary) is malware on GNU/Linux, as are the proprietary counterparts, e.g. Microsoft's own.

Zoom update triggers privacy risk by slurping Linux clipboards

Let this be a timely reminder of why people should avoid proprietary software. The same goes for states (public sector) and businesses. █
