Digital Independence in the UK and in Western Europe
We have the technical capacity and skilled personnel to achieve this

Last month: Clownflare Reckons GNU/Linux is on Almost 1 in 10 Laptops/Desktops in Western Europe
According to Clownflare, about 7% of desktops/laptops in European countries near us have already dumped Windows and moved to GNU/Linux. The Netherlands is the latest to make headlines in relation to it.
As insinuated earlier and elsewhere, GNU/Linux broke a barrier by becoming more mainstream not just in people's homes but also offices. There are shops and government agencies where the terminals and workstations are Microsoft-free; we're moving in the right direction.
More recently I came to realise that MPs and ministers here, if properly briefed, can be sympathetic to our cause. After nearly 10 hearings at the High Court (cases that have involved nearly 10 unique judges) we've managed to talk to them about various issues such as back doors, software freedom, slop plagiarism, and media independence.
Historically the UK's leadership was unapologetically colonising nations (The British Empire), but now with GAFAM and a hostile American president it recognises that there's a growing risk of being colonised digitally. █
