Voting for Freedom of the Press

This post is not about insurrection or elections superseded by insurrection. It's not about US "politics" but about the US as an entity, a country or a set of "states" (or islands and "territories") with unique and pertinent laws that are mostly alike.
Techrights was "BORN IN THE USA". It was hosted in the US for 17 years. A lot of the issues covered by Techrights are American in nature because the "Tech Industry" is dominated - for better or for worse - by Americans or American companies.
Techrights is not (and never was) against Americans, only very evil, sinister ones who commit crimes (e.g. crimes against women).
American elections happen every 4 years, but there are also "midterm" elections that have a lot less at stake.
For the sake of free press, both domestically and abroad, may we ask Americans to vote for politicians who respect freedom of the press?
Techrights has only ever been subjected to lawfare from Americans. That's despite me not even setting a foot in America for 20+ years. █
