The brainwashing is too widespread and thorough this time. I see absolutely no hope for those who've come to consider primary media narratives paramount to Exactly What Reality Is. You can't even begin to discuss such with them without their falling into fits of "Conspiracy Theory!". Their minds perpetually hover over scores of triggers.

The evangelicals of the 1980s got nothing on modern wokeful fundamentalists, *including* the intensity and depth of their faith - which, of course, is the secret sauce in conceptuality-based reality generation.

      • Turns out having the world in your lap isn't what it was originally cracked up to be

Slept soundly, but of course it's not necessarily technically "good sleep" when wine-assisted.

Not sure what happened with my wife. I was up briefly around 6:00am for bathroomssakes when she came into the bedroom (I honestly thought was already there in the space next to me as usual..) and whispered something about not having fallen asleep until "about an hour ago". Yikes.

      • Flying by on E-Bikes

Yesterday our new e-bikes arrived, wife and I both got RadRover 6 bikes from RadPower. Took most of the day to assemble (the accessories took longer than the bikes). Learned how to use my first torque wrench though!

Took the bikes for a ride last night to the local pizza shop. The weather was pretty nasty (rainy and windy), but the bikes did amazing. Lots of speed, comfortable and handle any type of surface with ease. My bike is loaded with front and rear racks and a pannier bag (which was useful for our leftovers), so it's quite a bit heavier than my wife's. This morning we did another ride to the YMCA to go swimming. My one complaint with riding in the dark is that the front headlight doesn't do much, especially with it's mounting position when you have a front rack. A lot of it gets cut off by the tire.
