Had similar screen corruption on redhat 10 when I tried using compiz. Wasn’t really an issue, although some other bug meant over time the system got slower and slower, so I stopped using it. I wasn’t fond of burning my legs either.

    Red Hat 10?

    likely means fedora 10

Yes, I know. But why would someone who tried Fedora 10 call it “redhat 10″, unless it wasn’t really tried?

Maybe Novell should ask Microsoft for help.

Oh look, it seems we’ve exposed “Michael” as an astroturfer.

He must be from Microsoft rather than their bed-partners Novell, because at least the shills from Novell would know there was never any such distro as “redhat 10″.

I suppose he’ll just have to change his nym now. “Steve Barkto”, anyone.

Wow, you guys sure do love your “Jump to Conclusions” mat (reference to Office Space, for those who don’t get it).

That said, iirc, past Michael comments have typically taken your side, so perhaps I shouldn’t be pointing this out. Afterall, after your childish attacks on him, perhaps he’d be more inclined to agree with Alex, Jo, G. Michaels and myself?

I see you’re enjoying your new company.

Doesn’t do it on my machine. I’m not using Compiz, tho’.

Congrats Boy, looks like you perhaps found a bug.

Now please link to the bug report that’s surely made so this can be fixed …

PS: My apologies if this shows up more than once but I’m actually trying it for ~6th time since it doesn’t show up but says something about double posting.

Did you add some comment moderation or is it just borked atm?

Chris, I’ve just brought them out of the filter’s queue. They are sometimes wrongly classified and await moderation.

    @Dan O’Brian

“Jump to Conclusions” mat (reference to Office Space”

Great film. Maybe the same thing happened (hypnosis) to Novell to make them not give a damn about the Free Software community any more, and then jump into bed with Microsoft.

I can just see Sweaty Ballmer as the hypnotherapist; a big wad of cash in one hand, and grease-gun in the other.
