SOME DAYS AGO we showed that Parthasarathy, a Microsoft Vice President, was leaving the company. It was part of a trend. What we did not point out, however, is the fact that, to use Mary Jo Foley’s words, “Parthasarathy had been Corporate Vice President of the Developer and Platform Evangelism Group (D&PE) for a number of years.”

Microsoft’s former leader of evangelists showed that Microsoft's evangelism is borderline criminal and he alleges that Microsoft is still doing this. And for those who think that Parthasarathy is innocent despite being the President of the Developer and Platform Evangelism Group, just watch his involvement in some of the illegal business practices and iffy correspondences. This is not an innocent man, but he is stepping down & away as a free man. Who takes his place? Here is the answer:
Amit Mital, the corporate VP who oversees Microsoft’s Unlimited Potential Group, will take over Parthasarathy’s job.
Unlimited Potential Group is the anti-GNU/Linux division/program at Microsoft, as noted repeatedly before [1, 2, 3, 4]. Nice to know it all stays in the family. █
