Smells like a cover-up and selective enforcement (or no enforcement)

If you're going to commit a white-collar crime, make sure you're in London. The cops might even protect you from your victims. What's the point having a law when the police refuses to enforce it, even when many people are negatively impacted by the law-breaking? If a government contractor can assault staff while cops stand idly, what does that say about the cops? (See meme)

Summary: It has now been a fortnight since we got contacted by the City of London Police (we're victims of a very serious crime). If cops were to receive a scorecard, it would say an "F"; they don't give a "F" about victims of crimes, especially when those crimes implicate their friends (as perpetrators), so the matter is already being escalated
