But despite this being a shorter post, don’t worry: the memes won’t be shorter.

In the past, I have used Weechat with Weechat and IRC relays. Since, I have switched to ChromeOS, I disabled the IRC relay, because I switched to the Weechat Android App on ChromeOS. KeePass is a very handy and useful desktop password manager that allows you to record all your passwords and store them in a safe place. The only troublesome thing about it is that you always have to switch to this app, search and copy the password before you can paste it into the login form. In this article, we will show you how to integrate KeePassXC and KeePass 2 with Chrome and Firefox in Ubuntu.

A lot of our code deals with text strings in one way or the other, and often not even with particularly complex ones. Seemingly simple and yet we have a myriad of different APIs for that in Qt. Here are two concrete examples on the impact of picking the right string types and using them correctly.
JSON and QLatin1String
Qt’s JSON API provides overloads for
QString
,QStringView
andQLatin1String
. The latter one is usually said to be the most efficient option, but it’s also the most restrictive one, basically limiting you to 7bit ASCII string literals. For JSON keys that is often sufficient though.

At Axiom, our design team has recently come up with a “new” (to us) ðŸÅŸaestheticðŸÅŸ for some of our online content. It shows up in posts & ads on social media and in featured images on blog posts. Here is an example.

We’d often buy new equipment and unpack it at the helpdesk, throw away all the packaging, and then take the actual kit to the user for deployment. That meant in our helpdesk area, we had hundreds of copies of the same manual for equipment. So we had a policy to throw most of the manuals away and only keep one or two in our ’library'.
