schestowitz[TR2]From GCC/DOC 01/2025 it is apparent, that also this year, Mr Campinos does not exhaust the budget approved in the Administration Council for rewards and decreases purposefully the envelope for step(s) and promotions by -2.600 mil EUR. Only 60% of eligible staff can be rewarded with step(s) or promotion. The unused budget corresponds to around 700 additional steps which should have been awarded to staff.Feb 12 03:46

schestowitz[TR2]I believe in the coming days censorship-resilient communication and data Feb 12 04:50

schestowitz[TR2]""we were all given 2 years salary as compensation + unemployment payment for 2 years"Feb 12 06:47
schestowitz[TR2]Just for comparison, in the US severance is 1-3 months and you get health insurance for 6 months. Individual health insurance can easily be $1000 a month, and a lot more if you have dependents. 2 years' compensation is almost unheard of, unless you had evidence of some major wrongdoing, like being stripped na--d and whipped by your FLM, and even then, I'm pretty sure IBM's lawyers and HR would find a way to spin it as your fault orFeb 12 06:47

schestowitz[TR2]"Feb 12 06:48
schestowitz[TR2]In Ontario Canada, based on common law precedent, if you have a great performance record and IBM is not able to spin it to say you were let go for cause, then you may be able to collect one month per year of service, to a maximum of 24 months in most cases. They don't just hand this over though - you have to hire a lawyer and fight, and I understand the lawyer takes something like 35% so best case for a lifer at IBM might be to walFeb 12 06:48

Before anybody in the US starts to get jealous, keep in mind that we get paid similar amounts in terms of the dollar figure, but everything here costs about 50% more than it costs there, so we spend a lifetime paying more for everything and then get this little payoff at the very end of a long career, and not without a potentially stressful and unpleasant fight.Feb 12 06:48

schestowitz[TR2]Possibly 1yr of severance payment you will be required to pay out of 2 yrs severance as TAXES! These level of salaries in tech it is highly possible most people will be on 50%+ tax band at year end.Feb 12 18:56
