DaemonFCschestowitz[TR], Earlier I went to get my Amazon package from their Amazon locker. The door wouldn't open and the screen read "TECHNICAL ERROR" every time I punched in the code. So I called the tech support number on the locker and some guy in India says "You said it was cold there. Have you tried kicking the doorand then putting the code back in?" I said, "Kicking the door? Is that even okay?" He says, "That might unstick it if it's frozen.". Jan 30 00:53
DaemonFCI said, "Okay then, I sure hope a cop doesn't drive by and see me attacking your machine.". He laughed. So I asked "Which one of these bins is this package in so I can make sure I'm kicking the right one?". He says "The left side and the bin at the bottom.". So I turn around and give the thing like 5-6 good hard kicks with the bottom of my foot and punch the code in and the machine beeps and the door pops open. I said, "Hey, that worked, and I Jan 30 00:53

DaemonFCIt involves Narcissism in the workplace.Jan 30 02:23
DaemonFC"What job roles do narcissists gravitate to and which do they do particularly well in?"Jan 30 02:23
DaemonFC"Narcissists may be drawn to positions of power and control, such as leadership roles in business or politics. They may also be drawn to professions that provide a platform for self-promotion, such as entertainment or media. Narcissists may be successful in these fields due to their confidence, charm, and ability to persuade others. However, their lack of empathy and tendency to put their own interests above those of others may lead to Jan 30 02:23
DaemonFCconflicts with colleagues and subordinates, and may ultimately hinder their long-term success."Jan 30 02:23
DaemonFC"So basically, eventually other people in the workplace figure out that there's something very wrong with the Narcissist and try to avoid them or cause them problems. The Narcissist's behavior is ultimately self-defeating in the workplace and legal system?"Jan 30 02:23
DaemonFCYes, that is generally the case. Narcissists may initially be successful in certain job roles that allow them to be in the spotlight or in positions of power, but their tendency to lack empathy, manipulate others, and engage in unethical behavior often leads to conflicts and backlash from colleagues and supervisors. This can ultimately damage their reputation and career prospects. In the legal system, their tendency to exaggerate their own Jan 30 02:23
DaemonFCimportance and mistreat others can also harm their case and lead to mistrust from legal professionals.Jan 30 02:23
DaemonFC"Is it common for a Narcissist to gather powerful enemies in the workplace and be fired, demoted, or get their hours cut. Basically as a hint that they should leave "of their own accord"? Is it possible that they would get bad work assignments, reduced and undesirable hours, instead of being fired, so that their employer can avoid paying them unemployment?"Jan 30 02:24
DaemonFCIt is common for narcissists to have difficulty maintaining relationships, including those in the workplace. Their behavior can be perceived as arrogant, entitled, and lacking in empathy, which can lead to conflicts with colleagues and superiors. This can ultimately result in negative consequences such as being fired, demoted, or having their hours cut. Narcissists may also be given poor work assignments, reduced hours, or other forms of Jan 30 02:24

DaemonFCExpungement is much better than sealing, but under state law, you only get expungement eligibility if you avoided a conviction.Jan 30 03:29
DaemonFCThis serves the state on the front end.Jan 30 03:29
DaemonFCYou'll put up less of a fuss and take a plea agreement that involves no formal conviction so you can come back later and expunge it after a period of good behavior, if the judge believes you have been rehabilitate, are unlikely to reoffend, and the record is continuing to punish you to the point it outweighs the state's interest in keeping it.Jan 30 03:30
DaemonFCThe criminal justice system is full of "good behavior" rewards if you've been sentenced for something.Jan 30 03:31
DaemonFCThe state is interested in it for a lot of reasons. If they do send you to prison, in most cases you may only have to do half the time you were sentenced to if you behave in prison or jail.Jan 30 03:31
MinceRif only there was some way to incentivize the state to behave wellJan 30 03:31
DaemonFCIf you behave, that means you aren't participating in prison riots and trying to set things on fire and shank your cellmate.Jan 30 03:32
DaemonFCLess of that makes the prisons and jails run more efficiently, and the offender may even learn that good behavior has rewards and bad behavior means more punishment.Jan 30 03:32
DaemonFCOr you could end up like that dude that ran into my last car in 2021.Jan 30 03:34

DaemonFCAlso true. SeaMonkey falls behind the Web faster than they can plug the gaps.Jan 30 03:46
schestowitz[TR]e) it's possible to find thousands of decent blogdsJan 30 03:46
schestowitz[TR]but track them for changes is no easy taskJan 30 03:46
DaemonFCLately, they've been grabbing patches from Pale Moon more often than Firefox.Jan 30 03:46
schestowitz[TR]f) opml helps score and categorise themJan 30 03:46
DaemonFCBecause SeaMonkey has more in common with that.Jan 30 03:46
schestowitz[TR]the solutionJan 30 03:46
schestowitz[TR]a) take opmlJan 30 03:47
schestowitz[TR]b) parse the feeds, make summary of news for a day or soJan 30 03:47
DaemonFCSeaMonkey has an experimental port to Goanna.Jan 30 03:47

DaemonFCBut the NewsWaffle or Bypass Paywalls (not on phone browsers) works.Jan 30 03:50
schestowitz[TR]DaemonFC: that's another issueJan 30 03:50
DaemonFCSo on phone I use Buran for Gemini.Jan 30 03:50
schestowitz[TR]over time more sites deny access without JSJan 30 03:50
schestowitz[TR]RRS partly overcomes thisJan 30 03:50
schestowitz[TR]if you open some pages they have an overlayJan 30 03:50
schestowitz[TR]and even if you don't run JSJan 30 03:50
schestowitz[TR]they css the overlaysJan 30 03:50
DaemonFCIt's obnoxious.Jan 30 03:50
schestowitz[TR]so you cannot see the page or just partly see itJan 30 03:50
DaemonFCAnd Firefox obeys "turn the Reader off".Jan 30 03:50
schestowitz[TR]until yuo enable JS and then click somethingJan 30 03:50
schestowitz[TR]it'll get worse over timeJan 30 03:51
DaemonFCSo there's more anti-user shit on behalf of Mozilla.Jan 30 03:51
schestowitz[TR]as more sites adopt thisJan 30 03:51
schestowitz[TR]some red hat sites deny access if you do't run JSJan 30 03:51
DaemonFCFirefox is no longer a User Agent.Jan 30 03:52
