New Year, Same Microsoft-Controlled Open Source Initiative (GPL Violations Encouraged, i.e. Undermining One's Own Mission)

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Jan 09, 2024

The Open Source Initiative (OSI) has managed to become even worse than the Linux Foundation. The OSI's blog has been hijacked by Microsoft, to be composed by Microsofters who push proprietary software (on Microsoft's payroll). OSI is in effect an enemy of Open Source now, but the people who run it cannot admit this. They still profit from the sellout. Ask the OSI's co-founders what they think.

First blog of the year by Microsofter: ClearlyDefined: recapping a year of progress and sharing a vision for 2024 (Microsoft included)

What a disgrace. Some people don't understand what ClearlyDefined actually is and what it is for.
