IBM Sends Money to Microsoft
THE other day we took note (in the sister site) of the above blog post, with its link intentionally omitted here, showing how Red Hat works with Microsoft 'analysts' (Forrester) to promote Azure, which is proprietary, surveillance, and working against GNU/Linux. Red Hat basically helps sponsor the company that's a attacking our community. IBM did even worse.
Fedora feels like dead or dying. Planet Fedora is barely active anymore, many volunteers have left, high-profile participants like Ben Cotton are rarely seen (he lost his job again), and it's basically doing everything that IBM wants, except renaming Git repositories' branch names. They of course outsource Git to Microsoft.
Forget about the Fedora Council Charter (a piece of corporate formality); Fedora Leadership and the Fedora Council are controlled by (a majority of) Red Hat staff, by design. It's farming people's hard work. As I said 4 years ago, "IBM is Not a Community" and it's attacking poor people to help "drive sales".
IBM is not competing with Microsoft. It's working with Microsoft. Take note. Fedora is the same. â–ˆ
