Microsoft Falls to Just 11% in Ivory Coast
7 months ago: Microsoft Has Lost Cote D'ivoire (Ivory Coast), Where Android Now Exceeds 60% of the Operating Systems' 'Market Share'
In Africa, as we mentioned this morning, Microsoft is "losing big".
In Africa, on average, Microsoft's Windows has about 15% "market share" left and the company's share in online disservices is even worse. That's why there have been many Microsoft layoffs in Africa, including this year.
Since Windows is so scarcely used it's hardly surprising that Microsoft Edge is below 2%.
One factor that works against Microsoft is that many computer users are moving to mobile and, among those who did not use computers before, the first computer is a skinnerbox ("smart" "phone"), so it looks a lot like this across Africa: (below is Ivory Coast)
Microsoft tried hard to catch up in mobile and even assassinated Nokia in the process. This didn't work. █
