Less Than a Tenth of a Second
Look ma, static pages!
LAST summer we saw the site delivering everything in nearly as little as 0.1 seconds. Today it's even faster:
So it can be reloaded about 11 times in one second.
Today we have some "emergency network maintenance"; to quote: "Emergency network maintenance needs to be performed on one of our core routers to correct an issue. During this work no customer impact is expected, but some traffic may take different paths through our network and we are announcing this change as an at-risk period for the network."
So far we've not encountered issues such as hang-ups or slowness. There will be more "network maintenance" work on Jan 11 and Jan 22. But not at short notice.
Last year we had our best uptime. That's not even counting factors such as speed (it improved a lot).
We wished we had moved (to static) sooner and faster. But better late than never. We're better off now. █
