3 days ago: More IBM Layoffs (2025)

Minutes ago:

THE above uses British (or Canadian) spelling for "rumours". Maybe someone heard or saw something, maybe not. There is a date there. We have no idea who posted that and why. Looking for some news, this new article whose headline is loaded (and a lie basically) says: "Big tech companies like Google, IBM, Tesla, TikTok, Snap and Dropbox implemented job cuts in 2024".

Somehow they left out Microsoft, which had mass layoffs every month last year (in December, due to holidays, it postponed the mass layoffs until January).

We'll keep a vigilant eye on this. Based on some reports, "Microsoft rules out layoffs in India amid global job cuts". As noted in IRC yesterday, "so it's about salaries, Microsoft becoming too debt-saddled (about 100 billion dollars in debt) to pay wages".

The same can be said about IBM. █
