Techrights Headlines as Semaphore
"If you are hearing this, thank you"
Last year on this very day we added a Morse edition of this site (announcement on April 1st), over a month after we had hinted it would come [1, 2] (since winter).
It was meant to be just an April 1st prank/joke, but then we found out that many people had begun using it, either to get news or to exercise Morse. Last month we got about a dozen E-mails inquiring about it, asking questions, making suggestions, and even offering code (patches) that fixes or improves things (we added those patches via Git).
Today we finally announce a semaphore option for this site too. It's promoted in the front page and in https://techrights.org/semaphore/.
Go ahead and check it out.
There are many ways to "read" or "listen" to the site, aside from alternative protocols and markup/encoding including plain text and GemText. It's all about sharing information, irrespective of the medium or technical protocol.
We want to thank people who make use of our Morse edition and we welcome/ask for feedback on further improvement/s. We can almost always make these even better. Semaphore likewise; let us know what you think. █
