In Turkey, Windows Down Rapidly While GNU/Linux Grows
Last year:
- Microsoft's Bing Falls to Fourth in the Europe/Asia-Based Turkey, Share Halved Since LLM Hype, Now Only 1% (Sometimes Less)
- Microsoft's Search (Bing) Fell From 3.3% to 1% in Turkey Just Since the LLM Hype Began
- GNU/Linux Market Share in Turkey Now Exceeds 10%, According to StatCounter
In Turkey, adoption of Vista 11 is measured as decreasing this year. Considering that Windows as a whole goes down too (see chart above), it must be terrifying to Redmond. Turkey's military and schools gradually move everything to a non-GAFAM platform and it shows; it is crystal clear across many metrics (see links above).
Although Turkey is in NATO (but not the EU), it cannot quite trust computer systems controlled by the United States.
Will Turkey become a trailblazer in this regard? █
