Big Trouble in GNOME
Problems in GNOME?
You don't say!
The GNOME Foundation too?
Focus on what they don't tell you. As we noted 3 days ago, several GNOME people are SLAPPing critics and strangling women while working for Microsoft (like GNOME's former chief, Peters, who fronts for Microsoft [1, 2] inside the Linux Foundation).
The noteworthy thing here is that even insiders now openly talk about some high-profile GNOME issues, not limited to the "elephant in the room" (whom we don't name as it would be unfair to legitimise "secret punishments").
To quote the dissent (it was published a day after our detailed article about GNOME and Microsoft): "To those on the board and CoC committee who were involved in Sonny’s ban: I’m asking you to step down from your positions, and take some time off from Foundation politics. I know you know you fucked up, and I know you care about this project, like we all do."
So even GNOME people admit the CoC went wrong. It was bound to happen. As usual, they also use the straw man argument that anyone who opposes corporate domination and censorship (CoC) is some "NAZI" or similar - a totally phony narrative that's meant to collectively demonise all critics. "You disagree? NAZI!"
Like in some medieval and secretive monarchy, a year ago they said that to know more about the CoC enforcement you must speak to the "king", Federico Mena-Quintero, and only in private. █
