Microsoft Layoffs Again in Bay Area
May isn't even over yet (there are expectations of more waves of layoffs soon) and there are several reports right now about Microsoft layoffs in LinkedIn, e.g. [1, 2, 3, 4]:
"It's certainly not all about AI," somebody wrote a few hours ago about Microsoft layoffs. "It also is about outsourcing jobs and replacing American workers with visa holders to cut costs."
Microsoft is having serious financial issues. That chaotic never-ending layoffs spree (about 7 waves of layoffs so far in 2025) has nothing to do with slop and people are replaced by no people or cheaper people, not slop.
Microsoft relies on people's false belief that being "in LinkedIn" will get you a job; well, seems like even working inside LinkedIn really sucks and you lose the job. █
