The Free Software Foundation (FSF) Looking to Add Associate Members
Days ago: Free Software Foundation (FSF) Raised About 1.3 Million Dollars in the Past Couple of Months!
Some days ago the FSF's (and GNU's) progress bar indicated that they had raised about 1.5 million dollars this winter, owing in part to some anonymous large donors. They've now changed that progress bar to say: "Celebrate '26 by helping us reach our New Year's goal before Jan. 16: join as an associate member today. You will help the FSF remain strong and independent to empower technology users everywhere. Join us today and help us reach our goal of 100 new associate members!"

From what we've heard, the anti-FSF (and of course anti-RMS; he's used a surrogate for attacks on the goals/message) brigade is desperate to stem this momentum. Keep vigilant because GAFAM isn't in good shape and it tries to delegitimise alternatives. █
