Techrights is 100% Disconnected From Cheeto's America, the Problem is Hired Guns in London Helping Violent Americans Attack Us Domestically
Not a new problem, not limited to us. Longer waits before much-needed reform necessarily mean more victims.
2023: Solicitors in UK warned not to act as ‘hired guns’ to silence critics of super-rich
2026: Leaving the United States 3 Years Ago Was the Best Decision We Made
British law firms that work against British people on behalf of Russian war criminals or ultra-violent Americans ought not exist.
Recent numbers from the SRA indicate that a lot of law firms collapsed. Since 2012 many thousands of law firms got wiped out and the net number decreased by almost 40%.
This means that many lawyers are out of work or finish their "law" careers early. We've meanwhile noticed that, after mass exodus in the hired gun we know best, the evacuees are either unemployed or "in hiding".
Techrights was run by American volunteers (on American servers) between 2008 and 2023 if memory serves us well (maybe since 2009, initially due to crippling DDoS attacks on the site). It's a community effort that involves many Americans, who aren't happy about their regime. Now that Techrights infrastructure is based in the UK and governed by British law we regularly speak to cops (we habitually receive nasty threats and cops take note), to relevant NGOs (free legal advice and connections), and of course to politicians. Some of them are very eager to protect us from deplorable Americans and are growingly concerned about British law firms acting as proxies (by lawfare) of violent people from another continent.
Next month we'll start the next series about the SRA. In our experience, SRA is part of this problem, so it will never solve this problem. SRA is part of the industry it was entrusted to regulate/govern. One way or another everybody finds this out; it became the consensus. █
