For IBM's CEO and his colleagues to become billionaires they need to take food from other people's plate.

IBM's stock fell not to give way to "hey hi" hype; it was an "official excuse" amid SEC concerns about financial fraud connected to IBM's current CFO.

Nevertheless, it seems like IBM's destruction of other companies (after Red Hat they ruin HashiCorp and now Confluent) is just some way to fake revenue increases and then fatten the bonuses of the executives.

As long as IBM's Board of Directors exists to serve the Board of Directors (not IBM) it'll continue to worsen. Companies taken over by IBM will be exploited and destroyed to keep a bubble inflated for a little while longer. █
