EPO Union Decides to Continue Industrial Actions, Next Strike in Four Days
The latest strike had the highest participation rate
When it comes to strikes and other industrial actions at the EPO, there's no sign of abatement. Au contraire - every month the intensity shows further inertia/growth, e.g. more strikes and more people joining those strikes.
Last night the union (SUEPO Munich) wrote to staff:
Week of 30 March to 3 April: Work-To-Rule continues, and Strike on Monday 30 March
Action Plan 2026 continues to stop the salary erosion of EPO staff
Dear SUEPO members,
Dear Colleagues,
On Monday 23 March, SUEPO Munich held a General Assembly to provide feedback on the March meeting of the Administrative Council on the “orientations for a new salary adjustment procedure and to present slides on the next actions.
Salary Erosion Procedure: Feedback from Council meeting – Actions
The President still plans a further erosion of EPO salaries, pensions and other benefits estimated at –1% per year below the evolution of costs of living without any financial justification. Therefore, the SUEPO Munich Action Plan adopted on 19 January continues with
Work-To-Rule actions
A day of strike on Monday 30 March
Two days of strike per week (Mondays and Fridays) in April, May and June
If this is what they do when all indicators are green, what will they do when they are red?!
They cannot ignore us if we stand together. Support the SUEPO Munich Action Plan 2026.
There are slides that summarise some of their key points visually:

SUEPO The Hague General Assembly starts in a few hours. █
