Fight Til the End

The local team has made it! GNU/Linux advocates too have made it. 20 years ago it was anything but certain that "Linux" would take over the world. But it did. Now it dominates so many sectors.
This comes to show that persistence pays off. It's not about easy and quick wins, it's about the long battle, the war. It's about keeping the goals (or mission) within sight.
The person who started it all is still speaking about the same ideas he spread in the early 1980s. He is not only welcomed back (to the Board) of its 'baby', he is routinely cited online in the context of memes like "Stallman was right" (or "RMS was right", his initials).
Stallman was admirably patient. Now he bears the fruits of his movement. His next public talk is on June 16 2026, i.e. almost exactly a month from now. █
