Ubuntu is Losing to Other GNU/Linux Distros

There has been blog coverage focused on what Steam Survey says about GNU/Linux as a single unit (all distros combined), but when one examines the distros and bears in mind SteamOS is based on Arch, then the "odd one" is the "Linux Mint" in the list. Even when several versions of Ubuntu are combined, they don't add up to very much (not substantial gap over the rest).
Maybe more users of Ubuntu come to realise that Ubuntu is untrustworthy; it promotes experimental clones of GNU utilities - ones that are financially controlled by Microsoft with derivatives labeled as copyrighted by Microsoft.
We would be better off if more Ubuntu users sought alternative distros. █
