Next Week's "Bloodbath" at Microsoft Includes "Silent Layoffs" (Which Microsoft Won't Count)
10 days ago: The "Official" Numbers That Say "Microsoft Layoffs" Will be Misleading
The heatwave sweeping across the country isn't quite over, but it should be over tomorrow, so hopefully by then we'll get back to some sort of normality (many people go outdoors and use fans sparingly).
Well, normality is associated with good things, right?
The layoffs at Microsoft are like some sort of "contagion"; they're already spreading well outside gaming and next week we'll see and hear a lot more. Some people have their last day next week (Microsoft pressed them to leave) and they won't count as layoffs.
The notion of "silent layoffs" is fast becoming the "new normal" (normality); IBM lays off a lot of people all the time; the media just refuses to write about it and IBM doesn't pay publishers to cover it. This is how bad of a state the media is in...
We'll try to be on top of "the news" and debunk obviously misleading narratives. █
