'Modern' Web: "Stop! You Are Browsing Too Fast!"

So ClownFlare (Cloudflare) seems to have this new mode or new "mechanism" for allegedly "protecting" sites. There's a security site that I regularly read and it uses JavaScript (from ClownFlare) to not only slow all visitors down. It outright blocks Falkon (KDE), it does not always work, sometimes it asks visitors to solve 'riddles' and... as of recent days: It does not let the visitor visit 2 pages in the same minute. That is just... ridiculous.
Let's recognise ClownFlare for what it really is: surveillance, an attack on the environment (waste of energy), an assault on people with disabilities, a waste of time, browser discrimination (favouring monocultures), and artificial limitation on browsing (based on the false assumption people who retrieve pages 30 seconds apart are "bots").
There are so many other bad things about ClownFlare. As noted here a decade ago, ClownFlare staff (and company) blocks critics online.
ClownFlare is thankfully going away judging by recent layoffs trends and perils.
Can the Web ever recover from this? █
