Like at Microsoft, but this time in IBM again: (more of the same)
"Silent layoffs" are the new layoffs. They're a perfect way to skirt the WARN Act (in the US) and to dodge severance obligations. Companies get to shrink while lying about it to the public, even to shareholders. Similarly, they hide trillions in debt. This is a hallmark of systemic breakdown. Krishna keeps on faking it, as we explained yesterday. █
As somebody put it an hour ago: "So wait all these announcements in the last month from Albany are just bullsh-t? More makeup?"
5 hours ago: "Unfortunately IBM has nothing really to offer except of deeply rooter mainframe business. And there'll be a time soon who's going to take over that in couple of years. Ginny, and mainly AK and his squad ki-led anything else. Not competitive in any other areas. IBM is done, completely. Sad to say and see the total downfall of once a great company."
CEO "AK is all over the media doing damage control."
"So abandon AI and now quantum is the new moonshot? AK is tossing-up a Hail Mary."
IBM giving devices as spying apparatuses, as many companies do. Gotta "sniff out" those whistleblowers, no?
The attempts to introduce such tracking devices at a former employer were the final straw that led me to quit after nearly 12 years.
