GNU/Linux Rises Above 6% in Colombia
Across much of the world one can observe a sharp rise in GNU/Linux usage, no matter whose surveys are taken into account (they are mutually consistent, but the absolute numbers vary somewhat).
In Colombia, which is a large south American country, GNU/Linux has risen steadily in recent years. This summer it takes a huge leap, possibly assisted by the soaring costs of new PCs (which is almost the only way Microsoft sells licences Windows). █
