Improving the Static Site Generator (SSG), Fixing Bugs

Some days ago we served nearly a million Web requests and today we'll take it easy not just because of the holidays (vacation is staycation, but we are like a store with the sign "closed" despite people being inside it; we deserve a break) but because we want to slow down a bit and improve the Static Site Generator (SSG).
Next month the site's SSG turns 3 (it was deployed to the sister site more than 4 years ago) and there's some technical debt which needs tackling. There are some bugs that need squashing.
We have some important series to publish this year and next year. Regarding litigation, we've devoted this coming decade to writing about it (about 120 KG of legal papers, not counting electronic communications and written notes in notebooks). █
