IBM May be Sued for Mass Layoffs Via PIPs
Misuse of "PIP" to rob workers of their employment protections/rights
So on several occasions on Friday and Saturday we said it looked like loads of people were leaving IBM (more than the usual). 2 hours ago someone posted this (later on Sunday):
There are also people discussing how to sue IBM over it:
Some hours ago somebody wrote: "they are also desperately putting people on PIPs and firing them to try and reduce headcount without having to pay out one cent...you can smell the desperation.."
It's discussed in the context of IBM dying and trying to save some pennies on the way to the bottom of the Blue Ocean.
Hopefully the comments are not to be (or won't ever) be censored. We'll check at a later point to ensure all are intact. Some whole threads (with all the long comments in them) recently got nuked by thelayoff.com. It is the same in Reddit. Last month 'former' Red Hat (now IBM) staff attempted to put me and my wife in prison. It's just as absurd as it sounds. █
