linuxstans.com Died, Then Came Back as Slop (LLM Junk)
Over the years I've linked a lot to linuxstans.com*, which wasn't all that active, but at least it produced original articles. In more recent years linuxstans.com became a lot quieter. Then, not too long ago, it 'woke up' but only to join former Linux sites that are nowadays slop disguised as legit output, e.g. linuxjournal.com.
Consider this latest example:
Dead giveaway.
This definitely seems to be LLM slop (see end). Another slopfarm to put in the bin. Too risky to link to. Even if the site reverted back to authentic articles, it would be difficult to believe it and too risky to link to.
It's not about just one article. I've looked carefully at the site. I've observed it for a while before it became very obvious that it is, indeed, using LLM slop, maybe some pages are 100% slop as well.
Don't make the mistake or the assumption that merely 'dabbling in' or 'experimenting with' LLMs can be forgivable as it is a trust destroyer. █
