More Stallmans

The Free Software Foundation (FSF) was founded by RMS (Richard Stallman) on October 4th 41 years ago. We wrote about this a day before the anniversary.
Dr. Stallman is a man with many opinions and many people have various opinions of him. At the right time we plan to release a new (or old but exclusive) series about Dr. Stallman.
Say what you will about #StallmanIsRight or #RMSIsRight or whatever, his strength is not that he is right, his "radical" trait is that he is very consistent and the same goals/views he held in the early 1980s are more or less the same that he has now.
In my observation, people mock 'crazy Stallman' for nothing more than not "getting on" with the times, as if it's sort of obligatory to change one's opinions or behaviour just because time passed. They're not talking about something like racism or tolerance but about stuff like DRM and rootkits.
Why would we pressure if not force technical people to abandon their principles? Because billions of other people have basically given up (surrendered)? Or failed to realise they had other choices (alternatives)?
We need more Stallmans, we don't need to change Stallman. █
