Linus Torvalds Has a Conflict of Interest Regarding Slop
Linus Torvalds is paid by the slop pushers
Linux (kernel) founder Linus Torvalds recently commented on slop. His employer is paid to promote slop. Yes, the Linux Foundation cannot 'disparage' slop, as it would risk losing money for doing so. Heck, its Board is now embedded in the slop industry. The project it's named after is a slopfest.
The subject was brought up yesterday in IRC. Basically, Torvalds is paid for his opinion on this. He's no longer in a position to give an objective advice regarding slop.
The same is true for much of the remaining media. █
