Reducing Overhead Associated With Video Production

Summary: The Techrights Git server (self-hosted) has some tidier versions of the programs we use to produce videos quickly and frequently

THIS morning I spent about half an hour properly commenting/annotating the code while tidying up a little bit along the way. It's the code associated not with uploading or connecting to our servers (security-sensitive) but all the listing, processing etc.

The code is in the Public Domain (PD), so it's available for reuse under very liberal -- or shall we say "permissive" -- conditions, or almost no conditions at all. That's motivated by an urgent need to spread better practices and become more robust to oppressive censorship by Internet giants. In fact, we need to get more sites to self-host their videos and quit outsourcing to proprietary software/third-party hosts such as Gulag (Google/YouTube).
