The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Re: Installation

I also gave the 1.1 alpha 1 disk set a try -- installing to a spare
disk. I said "no" to the lilo questions, and contented myself
for now with making a boot floppy. Installation went smoothly,
but I have some observations.

1. I have a scsi bernoulli disk on my system, with removeable
cartridges. Having no cartridge on the drive causes error
messages during a normal linux boot which I've come to
expect. During the 1.1 install procedure, I saw these
messages multiple times, between install steps.

2. The install interaction doesn't all use dialog(1). It'd
look cleaner if it did. The timezone selection interaction
    is an obvious example.

3. On initial reboot to the installed system, there's no hint
to the installer that he ought to log in as root.

4. /etc/termcap is present. /usr/lib/terminfo is not present.

5. /etc/terminfo is a broken symlink to ../usr/lib/terminfo.
