The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Re: base disks and editors...

Mine is only 5447 kilobytes.

> Would it be so bad to increase this by 20%, to a 7 disk set?

Yes. It takes forever to load one floppy. Remember, most people will
be installing many times, the first time they install Linux.

(What I would really like is a one floppy base install -- insert floppy,
boot, wait, and it is installed. But I think floppies will have to grow
bigger before this can be done again.)

> One of the things I think should be in the base system is ppp and ftp.

Not everyone can make use of them. Don't make me pay for something that
I can't use. (That is a hypothetical "me". I have PPP, and couldn't live
without it.)

Bruce said something about having problems fitting dpkg-ftp on the base
floppies. I assume this means networking is already there. Perhaps it
would be possible to add PPP as well. (I wouldn't know. I can't even
use my floppy unless I remove my tape drive, so I can't even try it.)

> A net capable base system is very desirable.

Agreed. But not at the cost of another base floppy.
