The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

indeed, we're not doing anything "life and death" therefore it *is*
worth it to be more efficient and just *do something* than continuing
to tweak the design.  (after all, we're not "governing" anyone here,
anyone is free to leave...) Remember, the primary goal here is to put
out a good release -- *not* merely to amuse the developers -- and that
means some things need to get done soon rather than the way everyone
wants.  (Of *course* you will still be heard...)

I think many developers (the silent majority perhaps?) are happy
*doing* development, and would are willing or eager to let the
non-development details be handled by people we pretty much trust to
Do The Right Thing(tm).  I certainly am.  At the same time, that role
is a burden; just because we all trust Bruce with The Vision, doesn't
mean he should be stuck with it :-)  Thus the BoD, and we've needed
them for a while.
