The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Has everyone looked at
ftp://ftp.netaxs.com/people/cjf/debian/selectmenu.tgz?

No, Bruce please don't threaten us like this. If we can't do it, then
we need to find out what went wrong. (I think your analysis of Ian as
part of the problem is accurate: his "Custer's last stand"
maintainance of dpkg has been hurtful.) Knee-jerk abandonment of dpkg
would not solve these problems: I think you'd have more trouble
finding Debian developers to organize a switch to rpm than to improve
dpkg. Just think about the logistical complexity of that switch for a
moment. I think it is unhelpful to suggest destructive things to the
Project.

Bruce, although I see the advantage in being an agitator sometimes, I
think this issue is not the place to do it. Please, please never even
hint at the idea of switching to rpm again. I for one never want to
see those words from you or anyone else ever again. Constructive
suggestions on merging the advantages of dpkg and rpm would, of course,
be appreciated.
