The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

I don't disagree, no. I just think we should then also move
the working directory to package-version.debian, so that unpacking
the upstream sources would be unlikely to clobber the debian specific
 changes.

Is there an objection to this?

I also want to know what to do with less well behaved upstream
 sources, say like /pub/angband/Sources/win32-fixed.tar.gz which
unpacks into ./ (If you are changing policy, please retain a loophole
for these packages, as well as .lha, .zip. and .tar.Z archives).
