The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

At this point, I see someone doing that, and then apologizing. There's
some other problems I had with Bruce's efforts, but this one got resolved.

On the other hand, I see people like Joey send stuff that I can only
interpret as a completely undeserver flame, and when called on it, he
seems to be convinced he could not possibly have done anything wrong.

That's a fast way to lose my respect.

This is a problem. However, the loudest opposition suffers from the
opposite problem - they seem to think that they got The Truth[tm].

It's an easy decision for me. Under no circumstances do I want to trust
people who own The Truth[tm].

Incidentally, I had some bad feelings about some of the now-loud people
even before Debian got into trouble. I see no need to go into details
here, except to say that this also contributes to my feelings in that
matter.

Now, if I had to choose between Bruce on one hand and people like the two
Ians, David Engel, and so on on the other side, then Bruce might well
lose. As it is, the choice is more like Bruce and most of the developers I
trust, against some I mostly remember for uncomfortable feelings reading
their mail. I said it already - that's an easy choice.
