The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

I think the Debian approach to ventures such as these should be "go
ahead, we don't mind if you do this, but please don't ask for any
special privileges".

It's important to pave the way for more than one company to provide the
same services that your friends propose to provide, thus it's probably
a bad idea to simply transfer all of non-free or all of contrib to
them. However, I think your friends would be well-advised to take on a
number of _orphaned_ packages (10 or 20?) not discriminating between
free and non-free or contrib ones. This leaves the door open for the next
service company (for example the one run by Dale Scheetz) to take on more
packages. Thus, this would not be a partnership, rather your friends would
be participating on an equal basis with other companies and individuals.
