The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

i disagree.

there is a POTENTIAL conflict of interest, but it's far from 'pretty
clear'.

As Kai said, it depends entirely on the situation.

IMO, a debian developer is a debian developer regardless of any other
distributions or projects they happen to be working on.

if people want to voluntarily remove themselves from the list(s) then
that is their business, but they should NOT be made to feel unwelcome
merely because they have other projects. After all, none of us work on
debian full-time which means that all of us have other projects and
other loyalties - there is not necessarily any conflict here.

PS: Debian's a damn good system, but it's not the One True Way(*). Part
of Linux' strength is diversity and variety - a thing which is made
possible by freely distributable and modifiable source code. Any new
ideas or software developed by other free distributions benefits all
distributions, debian included. What we do in debian benefits other
distributions, and that is good. What other distributions do benefits
us, and that is good too. That is what linux is about.

I don't know or care what's gone on behind the scenes between you and mike
and dominik (and others) but i wish all of you would stop letting it pollute
debian with bad feelings.

shit happens. deal with it. move onto something good.

OK?
